Florilegium - A beautiful place to find inspiration. Andy and I went to check out some of shops of Parkville on a recent sunny, fall outing and found the owners at work on a day they usually reserve off. Thus, the Sunday by chance on the card. :) Fun to just browse and admire the gorgeous textiles.

I like to get ideas from imagery and color but I also picked up a magazine or two to remind me to mix up a few of my current projects and segue to collage.

If you have a chance to visit - Parkville is a ten minute drive from downtown Kansas City. The home of Stone Canyon Pizza and Kansas City's coolest rock museum... and star gazer haven.

And since I am a fragrance lover, I also loved the soap shop: Sunrise Soap. Wonderful scents to set any mood. And the shop is open to see and smell the works in progress. When the wind blows - and the shop door is ajar - the scented air draws you in.

All in all, wandering in and throught the little shops and galleries was a relaxing way to spend one of the last sun-shiny warm, days of fall.
